A Residency and Employment Rights Certificate (RERC) is an immigration document issued in the Cayman Islands that grants a non-Caymanian the right to reside and work in the Islands without the requirement of a work permit, based on their legal marriage or civil partnership to a Permanent Resident. The certificate is granted subject to eligibility criteria and approval by WORC, and it remains valid for a specified period, provided the qualifying relationship continues and all applicable conditions of residency are maintained.
Requirements
  • Evidence of Marital/Civil Partnership Status
  • Completed and signed by the applicant and spouse in the presence of a JP or Notary Public
  • Evidence that Spouse/Civil Partner is a Permanent Resident Holder
  • Applicant's Birth Certificate
  • Three written references from persons who have known you for at least 3 years along with passport
  • Medical Declaration Cover Letter
  • 1 full face and 1 profile with name and date of birth on back
  • Applicant and Spouse Passport Bio-page
  • Employment Letter
  • Bank References
  • Resume and Copies of any Qualifications
  • Police Clearance
